Proximity to the international shipping route has already made Kochi a preferred destination for yachts and cruise ships traveling to South-East Asia and Australia. Modeled on the lines of the St. Katherine Haven in London, the project will be the first in the country. A feather in the cap for Kochi port and for Kerala’s tourism industry.

- Gulf Marinas, a company based in Sharjah’s Hamriyah Free Zone has won the contract for the construction of Kochi marina.
- At least two other marinas are also being planned in Kochi; one as part of Sobha High-tech city at Maradu, and another as part of Elbit Imaging’s $404 million development in one of Kochi’s islands.
