Hill Palace was the administrative office and the residency of the Kochi Royal family. It is considered as the largest archaeological museum in Kerala. It was built in the year 1865. At that period of time all the important decisions where taken from this building called Hill Palace. Now it has been converted into as a museum. The museum involves 14 variety of categories on display which involves oil-paintings, murals, sculptures , manuscripts, inscriptions, carvings, coins of that period, belongings and furniture’s of the Kochi royal family which includes the throne. While talking about the land that surrounds (about 52 acres of land) the Hill Palace, it is mainly greenery all over the place. The courtyard is wonderfully decorated with a beautiful garden and the surroundings involves a deer park, historic park and a children’s park.
