Bolgatty Palace is situated in beautiful island near Cochin. We have to make a small journey by boat to reach this island. This Palace was actually built by the Dutch. Bolgatty Palace is one of the oldest Dutch Palace outside their Country. The Bolgatty Palace was built by a Dutch trader way back in 1744
Its a pleasure Ride from Ernakulam Boat Jetty to the Bolgatty Palace. Boat rides are available at regular intervals from the mainland.
TheBolgatty Palace is surrounded by the Backwaters which is beautiful sight for everyone. Kerela Tourism Developement Corporation (KTDC) is now running a heritage hotel inside the bolgatty island. Now there is a golf course also built in the bolgatty island. Bolgatty Palace now has 26 rooms including Palace Suite, Executive Suite, Deluxe Room, and Lake front Cottage.
